What is this momma supposed to do?
B is now staying awake for longer periods of time. About 3 hrs now. Well...at the 3 hr mark she is not quite ready for a nursing session. I try before nap every time. But she isn't having it. Or maybe the problem is my body isn't having it. She normally nurses ever 3.5 to 4 hrs during the day. So maybe I am just not producing enough to feed her every 3 hrs? Well...she is waking early from her naps because she is hungry. Then it turns into a vicious cycle. She is ready to go down sooner because she didn't sleep as long or she then gets over tired.
I have offered some formula and it seems that does help but I really don't want to have to offer her more than I already have. It seems as though in the mornings I am just not cutting it for her. UGH. What is going on?! I don't know if her being sick and hardly eating screwed me all up or what. I tried pumping but didn't have much luck. I try to nurse her more frequently but if there isn't a strong flow she freaks!
Is it time to stop with the hair pulling, left boob then right boob, , cradle hold now football hold, pulling off and screaming, latching back on, pulling off, nursing sessions? It seems like it is getting more frustrating for her and myself by the day.
If you have went from exclusively b/f, to supplementing, so exclusive f/f...please share. I have no idea bout formula. How much should I give her how often? I know every babu is different but on average...How much do you spend? Not to mention I am giving her solids 3x a day. It's like she is always hungry!
Thanks ladies!

When M.E. was about B's age, is when she was getting mostly formula and only BFing at night and I was pumping 2xs a day.
M.E. was drinking (I think) around 6-8 oz per bottle. Plus eating solids 2-3xs a day. I mainly mixed any pumped milk into her formula. 2oz of BM, and 4 oz of formula. Esp during the transition. Mix her formula with BM, increasing the ratio every couple of days, if you do want to switch primarily to Formula.
Good Luck! That is awesome you have done it this long! Props to you! As long as you and B are happy and healthy, thats all that matters!
As you know we are now all on formula, which I am not a fan of, but thats neither here nor there.
Will eats when he wakes up... so morning and then from all naps (3) then eats before bed.
With him staying up longer too, we were wondering if we shuld try and give him a "snack" in between, we tried one day but he didnt really want it...
SO it is hard. I know... but things change so often I try to not stress out about it!
We are on similac and he loves it and it works well for him, the cans we buy are about 22.00 each and I'd say we go through one every week and a half 10-11 days. He is also eating solids three times a day.
