MM&M *Behind the Wall*

Week 3:

Before I knew it my mom and I were headed to D.C. I was so excited to see all my friends but little did I know it would bring huge changes to my life. Before I knew it I was getting pressured by my friends to jump ship and move back to VA. I kept saying there was no way, I couldn't leave school, my boyfriend, my job, or my apartment. Late one night outside of the hotel room we sat agains the wall and Nick decided he would try to make a deal...If he moved to CA for a year, then I would have to move back to VA. What was he thinking?! I ended up calling my boyfriend at the time and he thought Nick was out of his mind as well and was even more upset that I still wanted to move back to VA. He knew this going into the relationship with me, but he thought I would just "grow out of it." How could my best friend be willing to drop everything in his life and move but the guy who loved me and wanted to marry me wasn't willing to move for me. It was hard saying goodbye to my friends that weekend, but I had a lot to look forward to. The more I thought about it the more I knew that the right thing to do was to leave CA and move back. So August 14 2004 I was on my way across country with a carful of my belongings and my best friend, Nick. He had flown out a few days earlier to drive me "home."
