Thunder

This weekend Derby season (yes, Derby has a season) officially gets into swing with Thunder Over Louisville.

If the thought of seeing and smelling 60 tons of fireworks lay waste to a tranquil evening sky fills you with nervous anticipation. Or if the sight of 400 barges packed with enough percussive power to deafen a half-million people for 28 minutes has you all atwitter with expectation, Thunder Over Louisville is for you.

We are so excited to kick off Derby at Thunder this year with so many great friends!!! I cannot wait for Nick's sister Aundi, her bubby Wes and one of my besties Mack, to get here tomorrow afternoon!!! We are planning to do a Bourbon Tour when they get in town while Nick finishes up his workday, and then we are going to BBQ! The weather this weekend should be perfect!! I am so happy we will actually get to hang out on the waterfront during the day and watch the airshow...since last year it snowed :O( and was freezing!!
