As some people already know..Louisville got hit pretty hard by Ike! We decided to stay indoors on Sunday and watch What Happens In Vegas. It was pretty windy out there and it was advised by Metro Police to stay indoors. It was reported that the winds were up to 80 mph!! The lights had flickered 3 times but we thought we would be in the clear. Oh we were wrong!!! We were about 3/4 of the way through it and the power went our completely-at 1:oo pm. We have been without power since. The officials say it could take as long as 2 weeks!!! It was too crazy for Mack to drive home so she decided to wait out the storm. And head home Monday morning. We did venture out after things calmed down..we were stir crazy...we took some pics of the damage...
Everywhere we went it was the same thing...trees down everywhere, roads blocked, power out, trees in trees and houses...They have announced that we are running out of gas!!! There are only a few filling stations open and since everyone has flocked to them...i guess it is expected. Fortunately there was only one reported death and only a few injuries. We are in a state of emergency...I can only imagine what the people in TX are going through. Please keep everyone in your prayers.
