Monitoring.

Monday I had my ob appointment. I was seeing my doctor every 2 weeks at this point with an ultrasound every other appointment. This past appointment we had an ultrasound. My vervix is measuring 3.5, which is nice and long and closed, Cohen's (baby A) heartrate was 135 and Elsie's (baby B) was 154. My blood pressure was 120/80. Everything is looking good for the most part especially that Cohen is head down!. Elsie didn't grow much over the past month., She only went from approx 2.5 to 2.13. Cohen went from 2.7 to 3.9. They have decided to go ahead and start bi weekly monitoring. I will have ultrasounds on Mondays and fetal non-stress tests on Thursdays, both followed by seeing the doctor after. From what I can tell this is pretty routine since things can change so rapidly with twins. My doctor is not there this week so I will have plenty of questions for her next Thursday when I finally get to see her. They said they will for sure be doing this rotation of tests for at least the next 3 weeks to get a good growth on Elsie and to watch her fluid as well as to make sure she isn't in any distress and cord blood flow looks good. I am hoping that with Cohen being more head down that will give her a bit more room and she can get out from under my ribs and pack on the lbs.

Of course my first thought was oh no I am not cramming in enough calories. The doctor assured me it was not that. She is growing properly in size just hit a bit of a bump, probably because she has been squeezed up in ribs by Cohen.

Please keep us all in your prayers. If she doesn't pick up on her percentages or we have any distress then I will be getting steroid shots and they may decide to deliver early.

Thank you all for the support!
