I can truly say that I am so very thankful for the person my parents have raised me to be. I know I don't always show it, but I am. Without them in my life I don't know who I would be.
My parents divorced in the middle of my 9th grade year in H.S. From there on it was pretty much just my mom, my sister, and me.
The beginning of my 10th grade year we moved back to California. I thought that my life was over and my mom and I had a pretty rough relationship from that point up until a few years ago. My mom lives in CA with her new husband Dan. She just finished college and now has her associates degree! I am so very proud of her!! We are pretty fortunate that she able able to come out and visit several times a year!
Shortly before my parents divorced my dad was having some health issues, that were later discovered that he has Peripheral Neuropathy. When my parents divorced my dad was pretty much out of the picture for a while, especially after we moved to CA. I was pretty lucky to come visit him and he was able to make it to CA for my H.S. graduation! I have been fortunate enough to love near him since I had moved to VA in 2005. In 2008 Nick and I decided to move to Louisville, where he and his new wife Ruthie (as well as my siblings) live. We have been so blessed to be around family.
