Challenges Day 1.

I suppose I will play by the rules and do an introduction even though for those reading this you already know about me and my family. But here it goes:

I am Shaylynn, a twenty something, somewhat newlywed, 2x cancer surviving, new momma. I married my best friend Nick in 2008 and our daughter Brigglsey was born 9.23.2010. I love all things vintage, crafty, and on the cheap. I am slightly obsessed with finding good deals. Most Saturdays you can find me attempting to juggle a coffee in one hand and my baby girl & a yard sale list in the other.


Not sure these are very interesting but here are my 15 interesting facts:


1. I am a Christian. That doesn't mean I attend church regularly though. ;o(
2. I would love to get back into photography. I need to get a new camera for that though. And well let's face it, I am too cheap to dish out 500+ for a camera.
3. I love to cook but I am so not creative. I hate cooking for 2. 
4. Peanut butter and chocolate is one of God's greatest gifts.
5. I miss pop culture from the 90's- from  Full House to JTT to Chasing Waterfalls to Saved By The Bell to The Sign. Ahhhhh. Good times right there.
6. I love the rain. I love thunder. I love lightening. -I hated all of them until one night at summer camp laying in my not so sturdy bunk watching/listening to the storm out over the ocean through mesh windows. I was scared to death the1st night... but after a few nights of this I fell in love.
7. I was born in KY. Grew up all over CA, VA, SC, NC, FL. Who would have thought I would have ended up where I started out.
8. I am a stickler for traditions. I love them! 
9. I miss my long blond hair. I do want to be blond again...but with all this natural new (that grew back after chemo) hair, why ruin it again?
10. I am so very thankful to be a SAHM&W! I never imagined this growing up. It is still a shock to me! I would like to continue my education and finish up my degree but seceretly hoping I won't have to use it any time soon ;o)
11. Hello my name is not so crafty. I have so many home projects I would love to do. To be honest I just about suck at crafting, sewing, painting...you name it I stink.  
12. I have a giant list of bookmarks on my Mac labeled ShayShay's Wants. 
13. I hate white walls. No wait I despise them.
14.We are renting our dream home...minus some much needed updates and a wrap around front porch!
15. We still own our home in VA. But are hoping to sell soon ;O)
