Vacation?

Tomorrow would have been the day that Nick and his brother Corey would be finishing up their 12 day AT hike. The hike ended after just 3 days. We decided to hang out with family & friends before heading home last Sunday. We had a great time tubing with Bobbie and Corey as well as taking a visit to Camp Powhatan, where Nick enjoyed many summers at Boy Scout camp!


We did lots of relaxing with Nick's parent's and I was able to visit with a few of my friends. The week went by pretty quickly and as sad as it is to leave everyone we were very happy to be home (especially this preggo momma in her own bed).

The plan was for Nick to head back to work on Wednesday and Thursday and have his regularly scheduled days off; Friday & Saturday. He is starting a new shift M-F 12-9 and that starts Sunday, so that means that he would have that day off too!! Well, Nick decided he wanted to take the rest of the week (Wed & Thurs) off to spend with me and just relax. He didn't do too much relaxing ;o) He is actually repainting our living room as I type this!! It was kind of a spur of the moment thing and we are more than thrilled with the results!!!

We are really looking forward to the 4th of July weekend! We are planning on a couple BBQs, some good friends & family, a little music, and a sparkler or two!
