Well well well....I have no clue where to start. I have finally mustered up the courage to talk to Nick about the move. We both had mentioned it & talked a little about it to eachother but we had not sat down & actually discussed it until this weekend. Needless to say we are thinking exactly on the same terms. All arrows are pointing to moving...
Pros to Moving:
New Job Opprotunities for Nick's business
New job for me :O) & more likelyhood that I won't have to work once we have kids
Being around my family-I haven't had a chance to live around my dad's side pretty much ever. I want to build an even closer relationship with them all. I love them all so much! Nick feels the same way...As well as being able to raise our kids around them.
Cost of living-We can get an apt and then buy a house in the Botetourt like areas of Indy/KY for 1/2 the cost of it is here
Being close to a major airport-this is great! My mom & her family will be able to fly in to visit a lot easier as well as Nick & I will be able to fly there easier & less expensive
Sarah & Travis are moving to Indy. That's only an hour or so away. It will be good for both of us to have eachother close by. I miss her now & she lives 20 min away.
More things to do-there is so many cultural things to do in Louisville I cannot even name them all. There is great festivals, nightlife, a zoo & is close to aquariums & the gambling boat! THERE WILL BE LOTS TO DO WHEN YOU COME VISIT!!!!
Cons to moving:
Not being around Nick's family. We would miss them all a lot.
Our friends. In particular.... Megan. I love her. I cannot imagine not being able to see her every week. Heather is amazing not having her close by will be so hard. Lee and Nick have become so close! They would have to make lots of hunting trips together. Amie and I are working on our relationship. I love her to death & she needs me right now. Mack & I have began to hang out more & grow closer. She is more than likely moving to NY so that isn't something I can control but she will be hard to leave. There are lots of other people that we are close with that will be missed!!
We may possibly have to give Brewsky away. If we move soon he is still a puppy & it isn't fair to coop him up in an apartment. He will bark & chew...can't have that. Diesel is older & more relaxed. Yes it will suck that he will be in an apartment but he likes being inside better anyways.
Sorta bad things but not really cons...
Selling the house will suck but we are ready for a change.
Finding a new job will not be so much fun either. Allstate is a good compan y but it's not the only one der'
The cost of the move will be a pretty penny but be well worth it.
Honestly. We cannot come up with too many pro's to staying other than people that we love. However, they matter and I know that we will visit often & can only pray they will visit as well. Wish us luck on whatever we decide.
